Keeping in line with what I stand for,
I exhume the treatment I've withstood for years.
No longer allowing the beatings and rantings,
Forever exempt from allowing more pain to consume me.
Living only for me in this lifetime, this moment,
I cannot promise my thoughts to anyone else.
I can hope, for that which I require,
But, expectations are not a problem.
As I've been letting myself down for years.
